Ground Beef Stroganoff
Do you have a craving for something delicious, yet easy to make? Then you have to try Ground Beef Stroganoff! Not only is it packed with rich flavors, but it can be on the table in about 45 minutes.
Using ground beef keeps it simple, affordable, and perfect for busy weeknights.
One night I was really craving beef stroganoff — that cozy, creamy kind that just hits the spot after a long day. I started getting everything ready, then realized… I didn’t have any steak.
For a second, I thought about making something else. But then I spotted a pound of ground beef in the fridge and figured, why not give it a try?
So I browned it up, added some onions, mushrooms, and a few seasonings, and before long the whole kitchen smelled amazing.
When I took that first bite, I was hooked. It was rich, creamy, and just as comforting as the classic — maybe even better.
Now I actually make it this way on purpose because it’s so easy and still gives you all that same cozy flavor.
It’s the kind of meal that makes your home smell amazing and your family ask for seconds.
Why You’ll Love This Ground Beef Stroganoff
- Quick and easy: Ready in about 45 minutes from start to finish.
- Budget-friendly: Uses simple, affordable ingredients you probably already have.
- Family favorite: Creamy, flavorful, and picky-eater approved.
What is Ground Beef Stroganoff?
Ground beef stroganoff is a creamy, comforting pasta dish made with seasoned ground beef, mushrooms, onions, and a rich sour cream sauce, all served over egg noodles (or sometimes rice or mashed potatoes).
It’s a quick and budget-friendly twist on the traditional Russian Beef Stroganoff, which is typically made with strips of steak.
By using ground beef instead, you get the same savory flavor and creamy texture—but in a dish that’s faster, easier, and perfect for weeknight dinners.
