Everyone has either had or at least heard about Peanut Brittle but have you ever tried Cashew Brittle? I found this recipe on Planter’s website and since I had a whole container of PLANTERS Deluxe Cashews I decided to give it a try.
The first couple of times I try a recipe I like to make it just as written, but I think next time I would add in baking soda like I do when I make Peanut Brittle. Don’t get me wrong, this Cashew Brittle is an awesome snack but I think the baking soda would lighten it up a little.
If you’ve ever indulged in the sweet, buttery crunch of cashew brittle, you know it’s a treat worth savoring. Whether you’re making it for holiday gifts, family gatherings, or simply to satisfy a sweet tooth, Cashew Brittle is one of those timeless recipes that never goes out of style.
With its golden caramel hue and delightful combination of textures and flavors, it’s no wonder this candy has been a favorite for generations.
Not only is Cashew Brittle delicious, but it’s also a relatively simple candy to make. With just a handful of pantry staples – sugar, butter, corn syrup, and of course, cashews – you can create a batch of brittle in no time.
Whether you’re sharing it with friends, giving it as a gift, or keeping it all to yourself (no judgment here!), this sweet, crunchy treat is sure to be a hit.
What is Cashew Brittle?
Cashew Brittle is a type of hard candy made by combining caramelized sugar with roasted cashews.
The mixture is spread out thinly and cooled until it hardens, creating a sweet and crunchy treat that’s perfect for snacking or gifting.
This confection has been a favorite for generations, especially during the holidays when homemade treats take center stage.
While peanut brittle may be the more well-known variety, swapping peanuts for cashews adds a luxurious touch that elevates this classic dessert.
