This recipe for Easy Traditional Meatloaf has evolved over the years. This meatloaf recipe is also delicious the next day as a cold sandwich or warmed and served as a hot meatloaf sandwich.

What is Easy Traditional Meatloaf?
Traditional meatloaf is a dish that is made from ground beef and other ingredients such as onions, breadcrumbs, seasonings and eggs, formed into a loaf and baked. It is usually served with a sauce such as ketchup, tomato sauce or gravy and a side of vegetables.
Ingredients
Meatloaf
- Ground beef
- Saltine crackers
- Onion
- Cream of mushroom soup
- Egg
Meatloaf Glaze
- Brown sugar
- Ketchup
How to make Classic American Meatloaf
Preheat oven to 375°.In a large bowl combine ground beef, diced onions, cream of mushroom soup and egg.
Next mix in crushed crackers.
Press the mixture into a loaf pan and cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 375° for 1 hour.
In a small bowl mix together ketchup and brown sugar.
Spread the meatloaf glaze over the top and bake uncovered for 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven, let stand for 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Easy Traditional Meatloaf
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 sleeve saltine crackers
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 egg
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°.In a large bowl combine ground beef, diced onions, cream of mushroom soup and egg.
- Next mix in crushed crackers.
- Press the mixture into a loaf pan and cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 375° for 1 hour.
- In a small bowl mix together ketchup and brown sugar.
