Taco John’s Apple Grande’s are a delicious blend of apples, cinnamon, and cheese served on a crispy fried tortilla shell.

Ingredients

  • Tortilla shells
  • Vegetable oil
  • Cinnamon sugar
  • Apple pie filling
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Red hot candy powder

How to make Taco John’s Apple Grande’s

Prepare red hot candy powder by grinding the candies in to a powder with a food processor or blender. Heat oil in a skillet over medium to high heat (350°F). You should have at least ¼ of a inch of oil in your pan.

Fry the tortilla in the hot oil, making sure to keep pushing air bubbles out keeping it as flat as possible. Once done frying place the tortilla on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Immediately sprinkle one side of the tortilla in cinnamon sugar.

Heat up the apple pie filling in the microwave and spread ½ cup on top of the tortilla.

Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the top of the apple pie filling.

Sprinkle a small amount of the red hot candy powder on top of the cheese. Cut the Apple Grande into four quarters, serve and enjoy!
