Special K Bars
Special K Bars are a favorite chocolate and peanut butter treat! Chewy, cereal bars that are topped with chocolate and butterscotch frosting.
Ingredients
BARS
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 6 cups Special K cereal
FROSTING
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
Instructions
- Add granulated sugar and corn syrup to a pan, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until boiling.
- Remove the mixture from heat and stir in the peanut butter.
- Add the cereal to the mixture and mix thoroughly.
- Pour into a buttered 9 x 13 pan.
- In a small pan, melt together the chocolate chips and the butterscotch chips. Stir constantly until completely melted.
- Pour the frosting over the bars and smooth out with a plastic spatula
- Put the pan in the refrigerator to cool and then cut into bars.
- Serve and enjoy!
