Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, mint extract, green food coloring, and salt until the sugar dissolves.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, for the best flavor.
Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
This usually takes 20-25 minutes.
In the last 5 minutes of churning, gradually add the mini chocolate chips or finely chopped chocolate.
This ensures they are evenly distributed.
Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2-3 hours to firm up before serving.
