Again this week it’s still pretty warm here, in fact I broke down and let my family turn the air back on, that’s when you know it’s hot. Even though the thermometer has a different opinion, I’m getting into the fall mood really fast. I’m so ready for a little cooler weather and with that comes all the great flavors of fall.
I found this recipe for Mixed Green Salad with Apple Pie Vinaigrette on McCormick’s website when I was looking for recipes to make with all of our apples. The combination of mixed greens, crunchy apples, and Apple Pie Spice Glazed Walnuts offers a refreshing contrast to the heavier dishes often enjoyed this time of year. It’s light yet packed with flavor, making it the perfect side dish for any fall gathering or even a wholesome meal on its own.
The secret to this salad’s autumn magic lies in the vinaigrette. Inspired by the spices and sweetness of apple pie, this dressing takes ordinary greens to extraordinary heights. If you’re looking for a way to celebrate fall in every bite, this is it.
Give it a try, and let your salad be the star of your fall table!
