Peach Crisp

Peach Crisp

I had some fresh peaches leftover after making Homemade Fresh Peach Ice Cream so I decided to make an easy Peach Crisp recipe.

This easy dessert brings out the best in fresh peaches. Think juicy, bubbling fruit tucked under a golden, buttery oat topping that’s crisp around the edges and soft in the center. It’s a little rustic, totally cozy, and absolutely delicious.

What I love most about this Peach Crisp is how simple it is to make. No rolling dough, no fancy tools. Just a big bowl of peaches, a few pantry staples, and a hot oven.

It’s the kind of recipe that feels like a warm hug—perfect for backyard dinners, cookouts, or just because you picked up too many peaches at the farmers market.

And if you serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream? That makes everything even better!

Peach season is short—so make it count! Whether you’re baking for a party or just a quiet night on the porch, this Peach Crisp is everything you want in a summer dessert. Juicy, sweet, and irresistibly simple.

Tips for the Best Peach Crisp

  • Peel the peaches if you prefer a smoother filling, but you can leave the skins on for a more rustic version.
  • Use ripe but firm peaches. Overripe ones will release too much juice and may make the crisp watery.
  • Want to skip peeling? Just slice and toss—no judgment here.
  • Add a handful of chopped pecans or sliced almonds to the topping for extra crunch!

What is Peach Crisp?

Peach Crisp is a classic, comforting dessert made with fresh, juicy peaches and topped with a buttery, crumbly oat topping that crisps up as it bakes.

It’s a type of fruit crumble or streusel-topped dessert, similar to a cobbler but with a crunchy oat-flour-sugar-butter topping instead of a biscuit or cake-like one.

It’s a go-to dessert during peach season in summer, and it’s loved for how easy it is to make and how it showcases the natural sweetness of fresh peaches.
