Chocolate Banana Muffins

Chocolate Banana Muffins

Last week I had some bananas that I needed to use up, and I wanted something a little different than Classic Banana Bread or even Blueberry Banana Bread.

I was definitely in the mood for something chocolate so when I found this recipe in the cookbook Cooking With Bananas: Breads, Cakes, Puddings & More! and Chocolate Banana Muffins really hit the spot.

These muffins strike the perfect balance between the natural sweetness of ripe bananas and the indulgent richness of chocolate. Whether you’re enjoying them for breakfast, a midday snack, or dessert, chocolate banana muffins are sure to satisfy your cravings.

These muffins are incredibly versatile, making them an ideal choice for various occasions. Need a quick breakfast on the go? Grab a muffin. Looking for a sweet afternoon pick-me-up? A chocolate banana muffin pairs perfectly with a cup of coffee or tea. Planning to satisfy your post-dinner sweet tooth? Warm up a muffin and enjoy it with a glass of milk or a scoop of ice cream.

They also make an excellent addition to lunchboxes or as a thoughtful homemade gift for friends and family.

My husband thought they were really good too but we agree they would be even better with some chopped walnuts so we’ll have to try that next time.

Next time you have some overripe bananas you need to use, give this recipe a try and let me know what you think!
