Homemade Chunky Monkey Ice Cream
Craving the rich, creamy goodness of Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey ice cream—but want to make it at home? This recipe for Homemade Chunky Monkey Ice Cream is exactly what you need.
Made with real bananas, fudgy chocolate chips, and crunchy walnuts, it’s everything you love about the classic flavor—but even better because you made it yourself.
This recipe is inspired by one I found in the cookbook Hello! 365 Banana Recipes—a treasure trove of banana-filled treats that sparked the idea for this creamy, chunky twist on a classic.
I found this recipe when I was looking for a way to use up my ripe bananas. Normally I would just whip up a loaf of Banana Bread or Chocolate Banana Muffins but since it’s been so hot in Minnesota I didn’t want to turn my oven on.
I’ve made a lot of different homemade ice creams but my family said they think this one could be the best. It’s just full of so much flavor and just the right size of chocolate chips and walnuts.
