What is Easy Homemade Lasagna?
Easy Homemade Lasagna is a simplified version of the classic Italian dish that can be prepared quickly and effortlessly. It consists of layers of pasta, rich tomato sauce, creamy cheese mixture, and ground meat or vegetables. It’s a perfect meal for busy families, special occasions, or anyone looking to enjoy a delicious, comforting meal with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- Ground beef
- Ground pork
- Pasta sauce
- Lasagna noodles
- Parmesan cheese
- Mozzarella cheese
- Cottage cheese
- Eggs
- Salt
- Ground pepper
How to make Easy Homemade Lasagna
In a large skillet over medium heat brown the ground beef and ground pork together.
Drain meat; return to skillet and add the pasta sauce. Simmer for 30 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, 2 cups of the mozzarella cheese, eggs, ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
Spread 1 cup of sauce in the bottom of a lightly greased 9×13 baking dish. Layer 3 cooked noodles over the sauce.
Top with 1/3 of the cheese mixture and then 1/2 cup of the sauce.
Layer another 3 noodles.
Top with another 1/3 of the cheese mixture and then 1/2 cup of the sauce.
Layer another 3 noodles.
Spread the remaining cheese mixture and sauce over the noodles. Top with mozzarella cheese.
Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350° F for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes uncovered. Remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Serve and enjoy!
