Classic Banana Bread

This is an excellent banana bread recipe, moist, easy to make and full of flavor!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 overripe bananas
  • ½ cups butter melted
  • cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoons salt
  • ½ cups chopped walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F, grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan with softened butter, and set it aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl mash the 3 large overripe bananas with a fork.
  • Then add the ½ cup melted butter and whisk until combined.
  • Add ⅔ cup sugar, 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla extract and stir together until combined.
  • Sift together the dry ingredients (2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp baking powder, and ¼ tsp salt). Using a spatula, fold it in.
  • Fold in the ½ cup of chopped walnuts.
  • Pour the batter in a pre-greased 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350°F for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack for about 20 minutes.
  • Remove bread from the loaf pan and serve with soft butter.
