Ingredients
  

  • cup butter
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 large carrots peeled and diced
  • ½ cup celery diced
  • 3 cups potatoes peeled and diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups cooked ham cubed
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cubes chicken bouillon
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large soup pot, heat butter over medium heat. Add diced onions, garlic, celery, and carrots and sauté until they become tender.
  • Add diced potatoes and cooked ham to the pot. Stir well to combine the ingredients.
  • Add in the flour, stirring until mixed thoroughly.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and chicken bouillon. Bring the soup to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the soup simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  • Add in the milk. Stir well and let it simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
