Once again it’s really, excessively hot in Minnesota so I chose to bake this in my Traeger so I didn’t heat up the house anymore than I had to and it turned out amazing with just a hint of smoky flavor. Of course I’m sure it’s just as delicious baked in an oven.

  • Vanilla extract

How to make Pumpkin Bread

Preheat the oven or smoker to 350°F, grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan with softened butter, and set it aside.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

In another bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and  brown sugar until well combined.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Stir in the pumpkin puree, milk, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven or smoker and close the lid. Bake or smoke the bread for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Once done, remove the smoked pumpkin bread from the oven or  smoker and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Slice and enjoy the unique flavor of your pumpkin bread!
